EMPURRA
(REGENERATIVE RURAL EMPOWERMENT)
EMPURRA - REGENERATIVE RURAL EMPOWERMENT YOUTH PROGRAM
Youth participation program with the purpose of empowering the young population of the rural context of Odemira, to actively participate in democratic and civic life and, in order to generate effective responses that promote the regeneration of the rural context, and the sustainability of social, ecological, economic and cultural systems at local, bio-regional and European level.
Youth investigation across the territory
We traveled through the territory of Odemira with a clear purpose: to listen.
We wanted to gain an in-depth understanding of the desires, challenges and aspirations that drive the young people in the municipality. We believe that in order to create significant change, it is essential to first understand the stories, contexts and dreams of those we want to inspire.
It was from these meetings with all the schools in the municipality of Odemira that we built our learning program. Each step of the program was designed to respond to the realities and desires that we identified, transforming them into opportunities.
Explore, in video format and in just one minute, the discoveries that helped us develop the EMPURRA program.

PROGRAMA "EMPURRA-TE"
Turning ideas into reality is the central aim of this educational programme, designed to inspire and empower young people to develop new ideas, projects and businesses. Divided into three key stages - Dream, Plan and Act - the programme guides participants from the conception of ideas to their implementation, offering practical tools, mentoring and a supportive community.
1. Dream - Imagining Possibilities
At this stage, the focus is on awakening creativity and identifying the interests and passions of each young person.
* Exploring ideas: Dynamic sessions to stimulate innovation and identify everyday problems that can be transformed into business opportunities.
*Impact vision: Reflection on how each idea can contribute to the community and the world.
* Inspiring examples: Stories of entrepreneurs who started with a dream and turned it into successful projects.
The aim is to help young people connect their dreams with a clear purpose, paving the way for initiatives aligned with their values and talents.
2. Plan - Structuring the Way
After defining the dream, it's time to turn it into a concrete and viable idea. In this phase, young people are given the tools to plan with strategy and confidence.
* Building a business plan: Learning how to structure objectives, strategies, costs and benefits.
* Skills development: Workshops on marketing and financial management.
* Personalised mentoring: Follow-up by experts to refine ideas and resolve specific challenges.
The plan is the foundation of success. Here, young people learn how to turn inspiration into practical, organised action
.
3. Action - Make it Happen
With the plan structured, it's time to put the ideas into practice. This stage is dedicated to implementation and overcoming the real challenges of entrepreneurship.
*Pilot testing: Launching small-scale projects to get feedback and adjust strategies.
*Support network: Access to a community of young entrepreneurs to exchange experiences and create partnerships.
*Final presentation: Each participant will have the opportunity to show their project to potential partners, investors or the community itself.
The focus is on execution, helping young people to develop resilience and adaptability while taking their first steps in the real world.
